Fabric Love

Every now and then I come across a fabric designer or line that I love.  Lately I've really had my eye on Annette Tatum.  Here are some of my favorites of hers.

Boho Ikat Peacock

Boho Indian Stripe Ikat

Boho Chevron Pink

 Boho Medallion Peacock

Have you seen any great fabric lines lately?  I'm always looking for new lines I love but there are just way too many to find them all!

Garden Update

Our big cold frame doesn't really look anything like this anymore, it's about 3 times fuller and bigger but I just have to say that the amount of greens we have already eaten out of garden (it's only the end of May!) is astounding.  We have salads every day, smoothies packed full of spinach nearly every day, and greens added to anything else we want.  Surprisingly I haven't gotten sick of it all yet, just having less success finding new ways to incorporate it in our meals.

The boys planted their own garden with Dad last Saturday morning, from carrots, to swiss chard, to beans, to spinach.  They're pretty excited to start eating whatever pops up.

One of the things the most surprising to me is that all three kids often head outside just to grab a handful of spinach to snack on.  I do the same thing I just never expected it of preschoolers!  I'm certainly not complaining!

We also recently put in a couple of Haskap bushes, a Saskatoon bush, and some Blackberries.  This brings our backyard fruit up from Grapes, Raspberries, and Strawberries.  It probably sounds like we have no more yard left at all but we still have a good 75% of our backyard as just lawn.

Have you planted a garden yet?

Shop Update (a little late)

A few weeks ago I added some brand new products to my main shop.... Coasters!  I had the idea of stamping leather with fabric paint to make a coaster and then my sister in laws suggested mounting them on wood  or cork and I decided to go with cork.

I tested them out for a couple of weeks first, making sure the glue or paint didn't let go with continual use and then listed them!  The set above in gold and white is already sold but I have a few more listed and a bunch more to come.

I have a few more bags to shoot and list yet too so I'll keep you posted on those as they come!

Back at the Range

We've only made it out to our Archery Range a couple of times so far this year.  Not enough that's for sure but as always it's a great time.  The boys are definitely getting more and more into it and can shoot consistently for nearly an hour before getting bored or tired.

Ara is still happiest playing at the park, and of course eating whatever picnic food we brought along.

She's also really taken to climbing lately, I've always heard girls tend to climb more than boys and she certainly proves that true in our family.

Lately Daddy has been picking dandelions everywhere in order to make himself a batch of dandelion wine so Ara never lets one go without picking it too. Kind of handy if you ask me.

This last weekend we had Travis' two sisters in town visiting so we all took turns shooting.  I only got a small taste of target practice in but we've got the rest of the summer to keep it up.
