Hi!
I'm Hilda and this is my outlet. I have so many hobbies but the one at the top of the list is sewing so this blog is mostly about that. I also love to cook and bake so you'll find recipes and kitchen tips tucked in here and there. Another one of my big loves is archery and bow hunting and this is a love I share with my husband so you'll find all kinds of stuff about him and me and the traditional bows he makes.
I don't exactly have a love for gardening but I do have a love of home grown food and I believe in being as self sustaining as possible so every year our backyard turns more and more into a growing space.
I can't remember the last time I bought bread. I always make my own bread, buns, biscuits, muffins, etc. There's nothing like home made and I love being able to control what goes in what we eat. Bread baking has become a bit of an art for me so you'll definitely find more than a few posts on my adventures in bread baking.
I am also a Christ following woman who has three amazing kids and an amazing husband who inspires and challenges me to continue to make the things that I can rather than buy them. That same guy makes his own beer, wine, furniture, does a huge portion of the gardening around here and makes his own traditional bows. He's pretty amazing.
